Inspiration

Over Columbus day weekend, I decided to walk around at a fair in North Conway. I scanned the tents around the area for things that would inspire me for future art projects. I found this man at the popcorn stand and introduced myself. I told him I was an art student and asked if I could take his photo. I have decided to use this as a reference for my next painting, which I am doing on a larger scale than I am used to. I am also not used to painting with acrylics, so when considering the large scale and unfamiliar material, things quickly became pretty difficult for me. A few times I wanted to give up. Although I am not finished or proud of how it looks at the moment, I am happy I went out of my comfort zone and tried something difficult.
