Westlake Science Olympiad ended the season showcasing their dedication, resourcefulness, and perseverance with improved standings from last season.
Eighty of Ohio's best and brightest Science Olympiad teams competed on Saturday, April 26, at the Ohio state SciOly tournament in Columbus. The High School division (Division C) and the Middle School division (Division B) each had 40 top-notch teams competing. 3 Medals, including 1st place in Air Trajectory
11th Place in Div B

Our Division C White & Green teams (grades 10-12) earned medals in the following events:
Our Division B White & Green teams (grades 6-9) earned medals in the following events:
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, fifty-four students from Div C (WHS) and Div B (DIS/LBMS/WHS) participated in the out-of-state tournament held at Raymond Park, Indiana. The Division C team secured a 4th place trophy, and over 31 students earned individual event medals, totaling 54 medals overall. Despite the achievements, the highlight of the event was the lengthy bus trip and the overnight hotel stay.
On Saturday, December 7, 2024, twenty-one students from our high school took part in the esteemed Northview Invitational Tournament in Sylvania, Ohio. During this full-day competition, our team exhibited their abilities across 23 events. Competing against over 57 teams from more than three states, the team achieved many individual awards and had a great time with friends.
On Friday November 22, 2024, our Division C high school students organized a trial tournament for the Division B students. This condensed version of a full tournament allowed all participants to gain insight into the real competition experience. It was an invaluable opportunity for skill development and team bonding. Many thanks to the Division C students and parent volunteers for making it a tremendous success.
