The PCT portfolio is a collection of evidence that shows first and second year teachers meeting the Teaching Council's expectation of fully registered teachers, such as the Standards for the Teaching Profession and the Code of Conduct. The portfolio will also be a useful resource for self-reflection and growth as you find your strengths and challenges as a certified teacher of the New Zealand Curriculum.
The two suggested portfolio formats are to either keep a Google Drive folder or a Google Site (template available). At the end of your two year induction and mentoring programme, your portfolio will need to be seen and approved by the SCT or Deputy Principal overseeing the PCT Programme. This will be the required evidence for you to move to full certification | tūturu.

The link above will take you to a template of the portfolio site. In order to use the digital portfolio, you MUST make a copy of the site for your own portfolio. This can be done by clicking the 'Make a copy' option in the menu (3 vertical dots on the top right).
If you have chosen to keep your portfolio documents as individual files, please create a folder under your Google Drive as 'PCT Portfolio'. In this drive, make sure you organise your documents using folders, such as PCT 1 and PCT 2. Under each year, organise your files into sections, such as 'Observations', 'PLD Log', etc.
