Thank you all for coming out to the Art Show at Open House. If you couldn't make it, here are a few pictures from the night.

Silhouette Canvas

Students will be using a popsicle canvas and using acrylic paint to create a silhouette with a colorful background. 

Students have finished up their projects ...come see the final artwork on Wednesday night at Open House! The Art Show will be located in my classroom F104 from 5:30-7:00pm on May 15th. Hope to see you there!

Canvases have been created and the brainstorming has begun.

PLaying card 

Students will be designing a playing card, using unity and harmony to create an overall composition.

Students are really focusing on details within their projects.

Students have started their final drafts.

Animal Eyes 

Students have started a new project, creating animal eyes. They will learn how to create a few different eyes but will have an opportunity to choose which eye/eyes they will create for their final draft. They will start with practice sketches and focus on a "zoomed in" approach to really pay attention to the specific details. 

That's a wrap for our Animal Eyes project!

Log Cabin/Gingerbread house

Students had the option to create either a Log Cabin Winter scene or a Gingerbread House scene.

Pop Art 

Students are learning about the Art Movement and the artist Andy Warhol.

Last week for our Pop Art projects.

Students continue to work hard on their final drafts, choosing which medium best fits their project.

Bird's eye view project 

Students have started their bird's eye view projects, sketching a beach scene.

The students worked incredibly hard on this project, it's fun to see all of their final projects!
