Thank you all for coming out to the Art Show at Open House. If you couldn't make it, here are a few pictures from the night.

Koi Fish 

Students have been learning how to draw a koi fish, paying special attention to the angles and the flowy fins. 

Students have finished up their projects ...come see the final artwork on Wednesday night at Open House! The Art Show will be located in my classroom F104 from 5:30-7:00pm on May 15th. Hope to see you there!

POintillism

Students are learning about the movement in which a piece of artwork is created by using tiny dots. They are also learning about the founder of the movement, Georges Seurat.

Students are wrapping up their Pointillism projects.....

Students have been working hard, adding colorful dots and bringing their artwork to life. 

Ship in a Bottle 

Students have started a new project, creating a "Ship in a Bottle." Each student will learn how to create a bottle shape, different types of ships and waves. They will be creating a brainstorming sheet, making some final decisions and adding any extra details. 

Projects have been completed...and they look incredible!

Snow Globes

Cityscapes 

Students are now working on reflection in the water and adding watercolor.

Final drafts are underway, I am so impressed with the detail put into each cityscape.

Students have started sketching out on final draft paper and will start sharpie next class period

Building practice sketches 

cubism 

Students have started learning about the Art Movement and artsist such as Braque and Picasso. 

Students are finalizing their Cubism projects.

It's oil pastel time!

chameleon project 

Students have started drawing their chameleons, focusing on details in the face and tail. They are also starting to consider what type of background they will be adding. 

We are wrapping up our Chameleon project.

Watercolor process continued....

Students have started the watercolor process...these are looking amazing already!
