What is STEM and Why is it important?
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These fields share an emphasis on innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. At Westlake Charter High School, our STEM program will provide opportunities for our Explorers to innovate and shape their learning. The focus of STEM education is to highlight hands-on, problem-based learning. As we continue to embrace the technological advancements of the 21st century, our goal is to provide our global citizens with the programs and resources to help them prepare to become shapers of the digital world.
