I am so excited to create and learn about art with you this year! We will focus on using a variety of materials, learn about artists and discover ways to make art while meeting the Visual Art Standards. This is my 15th year teaching and I can't wait to explore with you!

This is my 5th year teaching at Westlake Charter School! Previous to teaching art, I taught Kindergarten for 13 years in the Sacramento area, including 3 years here at Westlake. Working in education has proved that I am a life long learner. I am continuing to take classes in art and my passion is art history! I look forward to sharing my love of looking at and learning about artwork with my students.

When I am not in the classroom you can usually find me checking out stacks of children's books from the library, baking something in my kitchen, making art with my kids, or spending time outside with my family on an adventure!
