Repertoire Listening

Students need to develop a practice process that includes 3 essential steps.

1. Vision. Listening to the piece and developing a vivid mental idea of what the piece will sound like: be imaginative!
2. Plan. Reading all sorts of music notation and figuring out how the piece will be played: be logical!
3. Play. Play the piece with flow and feeling. be intuitive!
