WORKING PERMIT APPLICATION

COVID-19 PROTOCOL

ONLINE SUBMISSION

Child labor laws limit the number of working hours of those under the age of 18 can work and the kinds of jobs that they can do. State law also requires employers to have Youth Employment Permits (work permits) on file for all workers under 18. In Massachusetts, children under 14 may not work, except in very limited cases.

Under normal working conditions, Employment applications are submitted in-person to either Westford Academy’s main office or the Office of the Superintendent of Schools.  Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, applications are temporarily being processed remotely.

An online Working Permit Application and remote Submission Form may be accessed HERE.

STEPS:

Westford processes work permit request via the online application as follows.

In the event that you choose to apply in person, you may print a hard copy APPLICATION & submit with all required paperwork in person to Westford Academy's main office during the school year and the Office of the Superintendent of Schools during the summer months when school is not in session.

If you have questions, please contact Hilary Langille at hlangille@westfordk12.us or leave a message at 978-692-5570 X7401.
