Library Volunteer Information Sheet

Thank you for considering a volunteering position in our school library!  

• Consistency - the library is looking for volunteers who can commit to the same shift each week, most weeks.  A regular schedule (i.e. Mondays 10-12 or Thursdays 1-2:30) allows volunteers to get to know the staff, students and routines, which shift from day to day.  

• Love of Children and Books - Though no prior experience is needed to be a library volunteer, you will be spending a lot of time with children and books!  Expect a vibrant learning environment!

• Strong Organizational Skills - Library volunteers help with book shelving, routine cleaning, preparation of materials, book covering and repair, bulletin boards, etc. 

• Teamwork - A strong team in the library makes for a better experience for our students

All School Volunteers Need an Up-to-date CORI on file each year.
