In the Long Programs, classes range from 12 to 20 campers depending on availability of materials and space. Short Program size varies depending on the type of activity.

Long Programs (45 minutes each): Long Programs are week-long courses selected at registration that follow a specific STEAM theme. These programs are designed to be highly engaging and exploratory project based experiences. Two Long Programs are offered each morning and afternoon, except Wednesdays.

Short Programs (30 minutes each): Short Programs will be either campwide or camper's choice. These Short Programs are brief experiments, challenges, activities, or guest speakers that will expose campers to a wider range of experiences beyond their Long Programs. Two Short Programs are offered each morning and afternoon, except Wednesdays.

Campers should register for the age group they will be a part of next September. If your child is finishing 5th grade this year, they will be considered an intermediate student.

Each program will be taught and faciliated by a certified Westfield teacher. Volunteers from the high school will also be at the camp to assist the teachers and work with the campers.

For Intermediate campers only (incoming 6th-8th graders), a field trip to Liberty Science Center is tentatively scheduled for Wednedsay, 7/29. The bus will leave shortly after 9am arrival and return shortly before 3pm pick-up. Details will be finalized closer to the trip. Half day campers may register for the Field Trip at an extra cost during registration.

STEAM Field Day is an exciting opportunity on Wednesday mornings for campers to engage in active experiments that can get a bit messy.

The STEAM Scavenger Hunt is an outdoor scavenger hunt where campers will be split into teams and asked to find a variety of outdoor items in order to win prizes!
