The National French Honor Society exists at Westfield High School in order to recognize outstanding scholarship in the study of French language. Students at the French 3 level are eligible to be nominated for membership. A student who has maintained an A average throughout his/her study of French at the high school up to and including the fall semester of French 3 receives a nomination. The eligible student becomes a member by attending the Initiation Ceremony and being inducted into the society. The National French Honor Society is currently purely an honorary distinction recognizing those students who have excelled in their study of French.
