Demonstrate respect.
1) Listen when others speak.
2) Be kind to one another.
3) Be respectful of the classroom and school property. Do not leave trash or draw on the desks/furniture.
I consider this rule to be the most important one. Without respect we will have a hard time learning and having fun in class.
Arrive on time. Upon entering the classroom:
1) Place your cell phone in the phone pocket.
2) Take out your class materials (computer, headphones, homework, etc) and be ready to start when the bell rings.
Stay organized.
Keep on top of your assignments by looking at Google Classroom and Google Calendar daily to keep track of due dates.
Be responsible
1) It is your responsibility to obtain all missing work when you are absent.
2) Check Google Classroom to see what you have missed and complete the assignment promptly. If you have any questions about the assignment, reach out to me immediately.
3) If you miss a quiz or test, sign up on the digital make-up sheet (make sure to note the date and time somewhere so you will remember). Failure to come at the designated time will result in a zero.
Be attentive
1) Keep personal items (hairbrush, lotion, etc) and items not pertaining to this class in your backpack.
2) Do not complete work for another subject during this class..
3) No food (including gum) is permitted during class.
Be honest
The following constitutes cheating in class:
1. Copying information from another student's test, quiz, homework or project OR providing this information.
2. Using any type of unapproved aide during formal or informal assessments (electronic devices, cheat sheets, etc...)
3. Outside help (parent, tutor, older sibling, etc) beyond that of basic assistance.
4. Plagiarism: submitting someone else's work as your own.
5. Turning in work generated by an online translator as your own
Consequences for your actions:
1. I will have a conversation with your parent or guardian.
2. Your administrator and guidance counselor will be notified.
3. You will not receive credit for the work that was compromised.
4. You will have to work hard to earn my trust again.
Seek help
If you are confused, ask questions! If you need additional help, come and see me as soon as possible. We will find a common time to meet so that I will be able to help clear up any confusion.
