The 8th grade elective component of the Curriculum for Technological Literacy provides students with an opportunity to learn about and explore varying technologies that immerse the student in meaningful, challenging work to enhance their individual interests and talents in technology. The projects included in this course may change as new technologies and software programs appear on the technology landscape. The intent is for this course to be current and cutting-edge in the project options. Depending on the project, students may choose to work collaboratively or individually and students will work closely with the teacher as the facilitator. This course is focused on project based learning and product outcome. It provides students with the opportunity to hone their 21st Century skills. When used ethically and productively, the digital tools explored in this class can help them achieve their goals.
