The Humanities curriculum replaces the required ninth grade Social Studies (Global Perspectives) and English courses. This course examines how individual people, communities, and cultures form and maintain distinctive identities in an increasingly globalized world. Humanities is team taught during a two-period block by an English and Social Studies teacher. Students explore literature, history, art, architecture, music, and dance as artifacts for studying and understanding human experience.
