Ms. Kimberly Gosen-Fowler, English Instructor

Ms. Kimberly Gosen-Fowler is in her 24th year as an English Instructor at Westfield High School, where she teaches AP English Language & Composition and English II: Exploring Perspectives Through Language and Literature.

Ms. Gosen-Fowler is a 1989 graduate of Westfield High School and a 1993 graduate of the Arts & Sciences Honors Program at Boston College, where she earned a BA in English Literature with a concentration in Russian and Irish Literature. While at BC, Ms. Gosen-Fowler was fortunate to enhance her immersion into Irish literature, theater and performance through summer studies at the Abbey Theater in Dublin. Her first job out of college at the New York offices of The Jack Morton Company, a worldwide marketing communications and public relations firm, led her to become an account executive there; over her six years, she thoroughly enjoyed working with her clients at British Airways, Colgate Palmolive, Johnson & Johnson, and United Technologies Corporation. And then came the calling to the world of education...

In 1999, Ms. Gosen-Fowler left The Jack Morton Company to pursue life as an educator. She earned her MA in English Education from Columbia University's Teachers College in 2000 and returned to Westfield High School wearing a new hat. Each year in the classroom has proven more enlightening to her than the last. She is the proud recipient of the 2004 WHS Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award.

Ms. Gosen-Fowler lives in Westfield with her husband, their four children (a senior in college, two sophomores in college, and a freshman in high school) and their goldendoodle. It is her professional and personal joy to work with her students each day. You may contact Ms. Gosen-Fowler at the following email address: kfowler@westfieldnjk12.org
