Hello!
Hoping this website helps in further completing the assignments given during our distance learning days. All of the students were told and given the neccessary materials, log ins, etc. Fortunately for our learners, we are very familiar with the computer and using websites that I've infused into our weekly instruction; LearningAlly, Freckle, Prodigy, EM Math Online. If there's any struggle utilizing any of the sites online, please reach out.
Expectations:
(TAMAQUES) Students are expected to be reading daily for 20 minutes. In addition, there are novel studies assigned (packet, with comprehension questions). For Tamaques (3 & 4) we are continuing our interactive read-aloud "Corey's Diary" and group packet work through learningally.com. All students have the story in their bookshelf. Along with that novel, I've also added Cricket in Time's Square (for Fourth Grade ONLY), along with a packet of questions to guide conversation for comprehension. For third grade, this is a more challenging task than my fourth graders, which is why I have them grouped them strategically to assist one another. If this happens to be too tedious of a task, please reach out! We'll find alternatives and make the appropriate modifications. Third grade's reading assignment, after Corey's Diary packet, is shifting to Biography. They can add it to their bookshelf from LearningAlly (it can be the same one that they picked in class to read during their indepedent reading time or a complete new person). Students were also sent home with their Wilson Workbooks and/or STARS Workbook and their binder to supplement further. Specific daily tasks and mini-lessons for writing will be posted on the classroom website as we have been brainstorming for our fictional narrative the past few weeks.
(JEFFERSON) Students are expected to be reading daily for 20 minutes. In addition, there is a novel study packet provided in their binders. I have added the books to their LearningAlly account; The Cricket in Time's Square. Questions are to be answered as chapters are completed, similar to what we did in book clubs. Writing lessons will be posted on the classroom website as we have been brainstorming for our fictional narraive the past few weeks. Student work will be completed in their binders, just like we would in class.
