WHAT YOU MISSED & WHERE TO FIND IT!

January 22nd to 25th:

Students should complete sections 1-3 in their Lesson 6: Exploring Four Empires of Mesopotamia notespacket. The notespacket and textbook pages are uploaded to googleclassroom.

A copy of Lesson 6 Vocabulary will be provided to absent students when they return.

January 11th:

Students completed their processing question for Ancient Sumer in class. Students who were absent today should complete the activity over the weekend and submit it.

January 8th:

Students have been working on their Ancient Sumer notespackets. The notespacket and textbook reading can be found in googleclassroom. Students should return to school with their notespacket sections 1 to 8 completed. They do not need to do the processing activity on the last page.

December 17th:

Students completed their Rise of Sumerian City-states study guides in class. An answer key to the study guide can be found in googleclassroom.

December 12th:

Students worked on sections 3 & 4 of their notepacket titled "The Rise of Sumerian City-States", if they did not in class today. The notepacket and reading can be found in googleclassroom. Students should come back to school with these sections complete if absent today.

December 4-5th:

Students will write their DBQ in class when they return to class. The assignment should NOT be worked on at home.

November 26th:

Students completed writing their introductory paragraph rough drafts. If they were not in class today they should come in with their paragraphs completed when they return to school.

November 1st-November 7th:

Students will be working on the start of their DBQ essays. Students will be analyzing documents in class and filling out an organizer that goes along with them. Students should analyze the documents and complete the organizer. Organizers are due Tuesday Nov. 6th. Check googleclassroom for all the resources.

OCTOBER 25th:

Periods 1, 2, &4: Mrs. Webster came in and presented a lesson on bullying with students.

Periods 7 &8: Students continued to work on their final drafts of their comic books. All materials can be found in googleclassroom.

OCTOBER 22nd to 24th:

Students worked on their Neolithic Revolution Comic Books. The assignment directions and rough draft template can be found on googleclassroom. Students who were absent should work on their rough drafts at home.

OCTOBER 15th-16th:

Students presented their infomercials with their groups today. Tomorrow, students will have class time to complete their study guides and review for their quiz on Friday. Students who were absent can find the study guide and materials on googleclassroom under "Neolithic Revolution study guide & reading". They can type the study on the googledoc provided in classroom or print a copy. I have extras in class as well.

OCTOBER 8 &9th:

Students need to have sections 1 to 6 completed in their hunter & gathers notes packets. Students need to complete the processing question at the end of section 6 on a separate sheet of paper. The notes packet and reading can be found on google classroom under "From Hunter and Gathers to Farmers Reading and Notes" on googleclassroom.

OCTOBER 4th: Students need to read Chapter 3, sections 1-4: "From Hunter Gathers to Farmers" in their textbooks and filled out sections 1-4 in their note packets. The reading and printable note packets can be found in googleclassroom under "From Hunter Gathers to Farmers Reading and Notes".

SEPTEMBER 27th & OCTOBER 1st: Students began working on their hominin group projects on Friday. In googleclassroom, students can find the group they are working with and their assigned hominin group. If you missed either of these days, go to google classroom, check what group you are in and then fill out the chart with the information from ONLY your assigned group. There is a reading that goes along with each group. The chart is under: "Early Humans: Chart" and the readings/group assignments are under "Early Humans: Act it out!".

SEPTEMBER 26th: Students have a Personal Timeline due Friday 9/28. There is a completed notes worksheet in googleclassroom for students to print out at home, or they can grab a copy from the "What did I miss folder?" when they return. In googleclassroom under "Personal Timelines", there is the presentation from class today, an example timeline, and a video resource for student's to view at home. Students should view the resources in classroom and start their personal timelines.

SEPTEMBER 24th: Students will need to go to googleclassroom to find their 5 themes of geography notes. I have uploaded a completed electronic copy for them to print out and keep in their binder. Paper copies of these notes have also been added to the "What did I miss folder" in my classroom.
