Dear 1-C Students and Families,

Welcome to 1st Grade! I am thrilled that you will be a part of 1-C this year! I hope you all had a fantastic summer. I can hardly wait to hear about all the fun you and your families have been having.

This summer, my family and I took our very first trip to Disney World together! When we got home, I spent many sunny days at the beach with family and friends—and getting our classroom ready for an exciting new school year.

Our classroom theme is Mrs. Carotenuto’s Caring Kids. As a caring kid, you’ll become an expert at showing three very important character traits: Compassion, Courage, and Cooperation. Think of them as Mrs. C’s 3 C’s! This year, all Caring Kids will explore, learn, and discover the world of Reading, Writing, Math, Science—and even Social Studies!

On the first day of school, come prepared to share an adventure you had this summer. I’ll share mine too! It will be a great way for us to get to know one another and start building our classroom community.

I can’t wait to meet you on Thursday, September 4th!
