Dear 1-C/R Students and Families,

Welcome to 1st Grade! I am thrilled that you will be a part of 1-C/R this year! I hope you all had a fantastic summer. I can hardly wait to hear about all the fun you and your families have been having.

I started at the Jefferson School Community last May and I am so excited to be continuing in this 1st grade position as Mrs. Carotenuto is on maternity leave. 

A little bit about me! I grew up in right here in Westfield and went to Franklin! This summer I spent time at the beach and visiting friends in New York City. I also took a tropical vacation with my family, which was very relaxing! The rest of the summer I've been preparing and getting ready to meet all of you! I hope you're as excited as I am!

Our classroom theme is Mrs. Carotenuto’s & Ms. Riley Caring Kids. As a caring kid, you’ll become an expert at showing three very important character traits: Compassion, Courage, and Cooperation. Think of them as Mrs. C’s 3 C’s! This year, all Caring Kids will explore, learn, and discover the world of Reading, Writing, Math, Science—and even Social Studies!

On the first day of school, come prepared to share an adventure you had this summer. I’ll share mine too! It will be a great way for us to get to know one another and start building our classroom community.
