Westerville North Sports Network Releases 2026-27 Broadcast Schedule

The Westerville North Sports Network will provide LIVE play-by-play coverage of

twenty (20) of the biggest Westerville North High School Athletic Contests in football,

girls basketball, boys basketball, and girls flag football in 2026-27.  The broadcast

coverage will include HIGH DEFINITION VIDEO as well as live audio.  Each broadcast

begins 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time with the pre-game show.  The pre-

game show will feature interviews with the head coach, a detailed scouting report of

the opponent, the starting line-ups, and much more. Tune in after the game for

interviews with players and the head coach, along with a look at the final stats during

the post-game show. The broadcasts can be accessed by fans around the world on

their computer or handheld device. THERE IS NO COST TO WATCH WARRIORS

ATHLETICS ON THE WESTERVILLE NORTH SPORTS NETWORK!

All 20 broadcasts will also be available to view on the Westerville North

Sports Network Facebook Page as well.

Westerville North HS Girls Flag Football Broadcast Schedule 2027:

4 Girls Flag Football Games will be selected once the full 2027 varsity

schedule is released.

Rick Cooper begins his 35th season as a play-by-play announcer in 2026-27, and his

13th behind the mic at Westerville North High School. He has broadcasted 43 national

championships and 1 World Series at the collegiate level along with 2 boys state

basketball championship games at the high school level. Rick broadcasted his first

college national championship at just 18 years of age, making him the youngest

broadcaster to ever call a college national championship. He spent 3 seasons covering

Randy Moss and Chad Pennington on the Marshall University Football Radio Network, a

network that included 35 affiliates across 3 states.

Rick won 2 national championships and was an Academic All-American as a basketball

player at Kentucky Christian University back in 1995 and 1996—KCU finished a

combined 53-11 in those 2 national championship seasons. Cooper has spent time as

the Director Of Athletics at the college level as well. He even won a national ESPN

Dick Vitale Sound-A-Like Contest back in 1995 that won him a free trip to the Final 4

and an appearance on ESPN’S SportsCenter…..and he was a Showcase Showdown

Winner on The Price Is Right as well!

Rick Cooper is a popular motivational motivational speaker, having spoken to over

100,000 students, men, and families at major conventions and events all over the

country including high school commencements, national championship basketball

banquets, college fund-raisers, state-wide public high school assemblies and

conventions, and much more. He has interviewed Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Phil

Mickelson, Jim Harbaugh, Phil Jackson, Clark Kellogg, A.C. Green, Randy Moss, Orel

Hershiser, Mike Singletary, Bob Uecker, “Rudy” Ruetiger, Rick Pitino, and many more.

Rick uses these experiences in sports to connect with audiences in a very unique way.

Rick resides in Groveport with his 3 boys: Ricky (25), Price (23), and Ty (18).
