Harlem around the late 1800s was a community full of white folk. Then during slavery most African Americans in the US have been living down South. Once they heard about an opportunity to come up North and actually be able to work to make a living. The next day most of them were on their way. This is a very diverse community full with many different types of cultures, and it keeps getting more diverse every single year. COVID has impacted this community in a horrible way since majority of people that live here struggle with income, so they couldn't really afford any way to keep them safe during the pandemic. Also the employment struggle was real around here.

Harlem is in the Upper West side of Manhattan and it is probably the most diverse community in Manhattan, since you could find many types of cultures surrounding the area. Harlem has many historic sites and events that go around the neighborhood yearly. They are based off prior events or culture parades that's what most people love, but they are fun to celebrate and gather around people just like you.
This is the Apollo Theater and this is one of the most famous and historic attractions here in Harlem. Apollo Theater is very important figure in our community since it is very big on art forms, and the culture in this community has beautiful artist.
This is a Harriet Tubman statue, and she was one of the most important leaders in the segregation time since she stood up not just for her but for everyone that has the same skin color she has. It was a very important movement to conquer since it has changed our generation today.
This is the Cotton Club and it is a pretty historic club, because a lot of my family members has told me about this place and how it was one of the most famous clubs in New York.
