Top Three Inventions of All Time!

What are inventions that you could not live without? Have you ever considered who invented this, when it came to be or even why someone took the time and effort to create it? Think beyond your cell phone and really imagine what life was like 500 or 1,000 years ago. What inventions have altered the course of human history?

Watch this short video on the six simple machines of physics.

Take the time to learn about these amazing and wondrous inventions that make your life better. You can start with the links provided but will end with your own research.

You will compile a list of the top three most important inventions. You will create any presentation you think will best convey your information. (PowerPoint, Prezi, Google Slides or Poster . . . some possible options) Make certain that your name appears on the presentation and that you properly cite your three sources. This will be viewed and evaluated by students. You will not be required to present on an individual basis.

Make certain to include pictures of each invention and inventor, and organize your information logically.

You must answer the following about EACH invention:

1. Who invented it?

2. When was it invented?

3. Why was it invented? Explain the need for this item

4. How is your life better because of this invention?

(Support this claim with at least two examples)

You will have three classes to prepare and one class to present. Keep your presentations from one and a half minutes to three minutes.
