Work Permits are handled through the Main Office at the High School (Summer Hours 7:30am - 3:00pm), rather than through the Superintendent’s Office as is stated on the application form generated by the State of Massachusetts. Please see the following links for the Work Permit Application:

For students who are under 16 years of age, the following sections of the permit are required:

1.  Employer section on the first page, including hours expected to work and the employer’s signature

2.  Physician section is required to be completed with an original signature (not a fax copy/not a physical)

3.  Parent section is required to be completed

4.  Student’s original signature - required on application 

The actual Work Permit is a document that is processed when we receive the completed application.  The student is required to be present at WHS with an original birth certificate or a valid passport to have the application processed.  The student is required to sign the Permit at WHS.
