As you learned about in "Understanding Pathogens", antibiotics often work by attacking cell walls. This is important to understand because this is one of the reasons why we can take antibiotics to cure bacterial infections, but not to cure viral infections (bacteria has a cell wall, virus attach to a host cell/do not have a cell wall).
