Lesson 2: Explore Craters

Step 1: Go see a science teacher and complete the "Craters and Meteorites Science Project" activities below, to get a feel for how you can create an investigation about impact craters. 

Step 2: Complete the Making Moon Craters activity.

Step 3: Review the other websites in the resources section, see what there is to learn.

Step 4: Make a Copy of the Exploration and Systems Diagram Worksheet under the "Your Task" heading

Step 5: Complete "Part 1" of the Exploration and Systems Diagram Worksheet.  

Step 6: Submit to Slate

Lesson 3: Intro to Systems Diagram

Step 1: Open YOUR copy of the Exploration and Systems Diagram Worksheet.

Step 2: Watch the presentation in the resource section below.

Step 3: Complete "Part 2" on YOUR copy of the Exploration and Systems Diagram Worksheet: Do the Learn Basic System Diagram Terms and Concepts activity. You can complete this activity by watching a video or meeting with a science teacher.    

Step 4: Complete "Part 3" on the worksheet.  

Step 5: Attach your copy of the worksheet and Submit Lesson 3 to Slate.

Lesson 4: Make a Systems Diagram

Step 1: Make a copy of the Make a Systems Diagram, linked below.

Step 2: Follow the directions on the worksheet to build a systems diagram.  If you get stuck, talk to your science teacher.

Step 3: Use the worksheet to help you write your hypothesis, and include a revised version on your system diagram. 

Step 3: Submit Lesson 4 in slate and bring your system diagram to your teacher for review or rating.
