About this Task:
Movie Time! You are going to watch 4 videos that describe the cell cycle and genetic reproduction. You will then use that information to make a scientific model that represents some or all of the information that is shared. To help you keep track of the information, you should download and fill out the note sheet!
Skill Ratings?
SCI 3.1: I can create a Model to represent a system.
SCI 3.2: I can use the Model to communicate ideas.
SCI 3.3: I can evaluate and Refine Models.
Make a copy of the "video note sheet" or have your instructor print out a copy for you.
As you watch the videos linked on this page, take notes.
After watching the videos submit the notes to slate for some PLP!
Use the Model Planer to help you plan for your Model.
Fill out the next part of the feedback log and have a conference with your instructor.
Finally, make your model and turn it in to your instructor to be rated.
Watch these videos first before starting your task!
Make a copy of this document and use it to help you plan your model.
Your model should represent some part or all of the process of genetic reproduction.
If you have questions or need some help, go talk to your science teacher!
Once your model is planned and the instructor gives you the go-ahead, start making your model.
Have fun with it!
**Note: If you want a really good model, you may have to do additional research. That's OK!
