- I can interpret words and phrases as they are used in a text, including determining technical, connotative, and figurative meanings, and I can analyze how specific word choices shape meanings or tone. 1.3
In this module you will begin to read the classic text To Kill a Mockingbird. This text was published in 1960 but is a classic and teaches lessons that are still so valuable to EVERY individual worldwide today. You will only be reading chapters 1-16 of the text and then viewing the movie for the rest of the text. The text is told through the point of view of a 6 year old girl named Scout so the text is very readable.
