Step 1: Watch the videos and read the articles on the "Explore the topic" subpage. Fill out the Google Doc and turn it in.
Step 2: Choose one of the novels to read. You can choose from the following three choices:
Peak
Tuesdays with Morrie
The House on Mango Street
The assignments are similar in length and difficulty regardless of the choice, but students should feel free to read through the requirements and writing prompts for each of the choices before finalizing the choice. Communicate your choice to the teacher and borrow the book.
Step 3: Do the pre-reading assignments on the book page. Begin reading and complete the "Reading Critically" assignments while reading. Then, write the informative paper (ELA 2).
Step 4: Complete the assignments for the "Discussion" to receive credit for the ELA 3 competency.
