Underrepresented Groups: This refers to groups that are typically not seen in theatrical spaces, including Black, Asian, Latinx, Indigenous, Mixed-Race, and other non-white identifying groups, and people from low income background. This project's goal is to include them (you)
Multicultural Society: Any society comprised of more than one race, religion, status, or singularly identifying feature. This definitely describes the United States, and most other countries now.
Engage: Finding ways to be involved! It does not solely refer to acting, designing, or any other production task, it is about how you find your way into this process... if you are reading this you already have!
Company: The group of incredible people bringing this project to life!
Auditions: The process by which actors try out for roles in the show.
Production Team: The group that designs and creates the space in which the actors exist during the show.
Production Meetings: Meetings with the production team where we decided on different production components in the show.
Rehearsal: The process where we work out how the show is going to look.
House: Where the audience sits... I don't know why either.
Up Stage: Away from the house.
Down Stage: Toward the house.
Stage Left: The actor's left when facing down stage.
Stage Right: The actor's right when facing down stage.
Proscenium: A big plaster arch that separates the stage from the audience.
Booth: Where all the technical cues are called from.
Stage Manager: A deity who helps make the production possible (shoutout to the one and only Jess Burks!).
Director: The leader of the team with a unifying creative vision, who, hopefully, make something awesome.
