Wes-Del Middle High School Principal, Adam Perdue is committed to creating well rounded students and lifelong learners through implementing multiple different programs and pathways for Warrior students to succeed. Mr. Perdue is a big contributor for community engagement, bringing new opportunities to the school and the town of Gaston, while keeping old traditions alive and sticking with the 'Family' mentality that Wes-Del has always prided itself with.
Mr. Hanson is in his 5th year at Wes-Del as the assistant Principal. He is very involved in student life emphasizing a positive culture at both the middle school and the high school. Mr. Hanson is also the head baseball coach at the high school. He serves as a role-model and mentor for our student athletes athletes.
Austin has been a physical science and engineering teacher at Wes-Del Middle/High School for 3 years. He is a 2015 graduate Purdue University. Austin currently serves as a Master Teacher for PLTW IED, VEX VRC & IQ Robotics Coach, STEM Club Sponsor, and STEM Day Event Coordinator.
Rachel has been the science and STEM teacher for Wes-Del's Level 6 students for the past two years. Rachel focuses on fostering her students’ curiosity in STEM and is dedicated to growing students' knowledge in all areas of science and technology. She currently teaches the Design and Modeling PLTW Course to all 6th grade students.
Andrea is currently a high school Biology, Biology 2, Anatomy and PLTW Biomedical teacher. She has been teaching high school science for 22 years. She is a member of HASTI and the American Chemical Society. In the past Andrea has taught chemistry, AP biology and chemistry, zoology, environmental science and ACS chemistry in context. She is very excited to have her student learn in a project based environment.
Melea was recently appointed Director of School Counseling for Wes-Del Middle/High School and has worked as a School Counselor and High Ability Coordinator in the district for four years. She brings to the position seven years of experience working as a counselor and fifteen years as a classroom teacher. Her experience includes test coordination as well as counseling skills in the areas of academic, college, career, social-emotional development. She is passionate about fostering relationships and developing meaningful connections with her students. She currently serves on the STEM, Scholarship, Profile of a Graduate, and High Ability committees.
Malachi is a sophomore student at Wes-Del High School. He is a well-rounded student, involved with numerous different activities including Football, Wrestling, Track, FBLA, FCA, Drama, Student Council, and Robotics. He has been a part of the STEM Engineering team for two years had has helped with some projects that were debuted during Wes-Del's 2022 Stem Day. He was also apart of the team last year that created the CTE promotional video for the Business Pathway here at WDHS.
Jennah is a junior at Wes-Del. She is a well-rounded student who is involved in choir, band, volleyball, basketball, track, FCA, FBLA, STEM Club, SADD, student council, and she is the president of the Class of 2024. Jennah plans on attending Indiana Wesleyan University in the future in hopes of becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon. She loves Spanish and has enjoyed her biology, physics, and chemistry classes at Wes-Del.
Hannah has gone to Wes-Del since kindergarten. She participated in volleyball all four years of high school and track for three years. She is the president of the Class of 2023 and student council and plans on attending Purdue University in the future. Hannah enjoys baking and working out.
Britany has two children involved with Wes-Del Community Schools. She has served as an employee and community member for several years. As a continual vested interest, Britany is looking forward to see the STEM programs develop for her daughter and son.
