The STEM Lab has undergone much transformation during these last few years. In this lab, any teacher is welcome to use this area, mostly for PBL projects or activities. This lab currently holds a Vex VRC Field, VEX IQ Field, twelve workstations equipped with computers, six 3D printers, and a laser engraver. Engineering students and STEM Club students are welcome to learn how to CAD and 3D print in an individual learning environment. Once trained on the equipment, any student is able to use the equipment, so long as their is adult supervision. STEM Club meets several times a week to design, build, and prototype robots used for high school and middle school competitions.
There are two spaces in the building where the Digital Design Graphics Pathway produce their work. The first is the Innovation Lab, where students have the opportunity to use state of the art computers to create image and motion graphics, as well as high quality videos. The Innovation studio on the other hand offers the availability for students to have a space to create videos and photos for their projects. Both spaces are used both during and after school for multiple different community outreach programs. The Innovation Lab is where the Wes-Del E-Sports team practices and plays their matches. The Innovation Studio is where students have interviewed students, staff, and community members to create the 2021 and 2022 Grand Marshal Homecoming videos, the 2021 and 2022 Veterans Day video, the 2022 Senior Volleyball video, and the CTE Pathway Videos. The studio has resently added a photography studio inside the room for our students to use.
