VCSU Cafeteria Credit Plan
The Western Education Regional Cooperative (WERC) offers the Cafeteria Plan to accumulate the necessary hours for graduate continuing education credits offered from Valley City State University (VCSU) during the fall, spring, or summer semesters. (Up to 4 credits maximum in a 12 month period.) A total of 15 hours direct instruction must be completed for each graduate credit.
Fall 2025 -- November 21, 2025
Spring 2026 -- April 17, 2065
Summer 2026 -- July 10, 2026
How to Register for Professional Development Credits
Download the Workshop Verification Form (Docx)
Participate and complete 15 hours *per credit* of professional development sessions.
Complete the verification sheets and ensure signature of Superintendent or Administrator.
Search and Register for credit on the VCSU Website.
Search "WERC" which will bring up EDUC 2000 ST: Professional Development (WERC)
Be sure to select the amount of credits you are applying for
Payment for the course will need to take place at the time of registration (Fee of $65 per credit)
Mail Verification Forms to:

Transcripts will be available after Recording Dates listed above through VSCU.

North Dakota Department of Public Instruction Credential Information
All credentialed positions require a North Dakota Educators Professional Teaching License before a credential can be issued. Licensing and endorsements are issued by the Education Standards and Practices Board (ESPB).
NDDPI has an online application process for all administrative, school counselor, library media, Title I, and special education director credentials, and paraprofessional certificates of completion for special education, special education technician, speech-language pathology, and Title I. The online credential applications can be accessed on NDTeach.
