My name is Dawn Wood and I have been teaching 8th grade Core at Pioneer Middle School since 2002. I was born and raised right here in Wenatchee. I went to grade school at Lincoln Elementary, attended Pioneer Junior High, Sterling Middle School, and Eastmont Junior High, and graduated from Wenatchee High School. For years, I wanted to leave Wenatchee, until I grew up and realized that this was my home and I truly do love it here.
I have been married to my husband, Christian, since 1990. I wouldn't know what to do without him--he does all of the cooking & laundry, so without him our family would starve and wear wrinkly clothes all the time!!! We have three children, Alec, Ashlee, and Eythen (he's a Leap Day Baby). Of course, they are the BEST children in all of the world (and kinda cute too). In 2015, we added a new member to our family, Alec's wife, Ellen; in 2016, we added Ashlee's husband, Jonathan; and in June of 2020, we added Eythen's wife, Elizabeth. We have 5 grandchildren with #6 on the way in Spring 2022.
On days that I am not in school, you can usually find me hanging out at home in my pajamas (I LOVE my pajamas). My favorite activities are sleeping and binge watching tv shows and movies on Netflix & Hulu. We also have 3 dogs that keep us busy every day!!!
