Exciting times for the Wells FFA Chapter! Our officers had a productive and inspiring officer retreat over the summer with the theme "Discover the Treasure of Leadership," setting goals and planning for the year ahead. Then later in the summer, they attended the 96th annual Texas State FFA Convention in Houston, where they connected with fellow FFA members and gained valuable insights. A special shoutout to our President, Emily Monday, who received the prestigious LoneStar Degree—the highest honor a Texas FFA member can achieve. Congratulations, Emily! We’re proud of all our officers and their dedication to excellence.
This year Mr. Smith will teach the Agriculture Mechanics courses, while Mrs. Smith will cover the Animal Science courses. Both are eagerly anticipating the upcoming year and are excited to see what Wells FFA will achieve.
Emily Monday, a Senior this year, was honored with the highest degree bestowed upon a member by the Texas State FFA. Achieving this recognition required Emily to dedicate substantial time and resources to her Swine Production Supervised Agriculture Experience. Additionally, she had to exhibit exceptional leadership abilities and demonstrate a steadfast commitment to the FFA through active participation at both the chapter and higher levels.
Vice President
Wells Junior, Harleigh Jordan, has been a dedicated member of the FFA for three years now. This upcoming year, she is eagerly anticipating achieving both chapter's objectives and her personal goals for the speaking contests she participates in.
Among the various FFA contests, Harleigh's heart lies with FFA Creed speaking. Her fondest FFA memory stems from the recent district convention, where the exhilarating news of winning with her speech and advancing to the area level filled her with joy and pride.
