We’ve had a fantastic start to the year with our first two chapter meetings! We kicked things off with some fun games and lively discussions about the exciting events and opportunities awaiting our members. It’s been great seeing everyone get involved and start planning for an amazing year with Wells FFA.
Mark your calendars for our next meeting on Monday, October 21st! We look forward to more fun, engaging activities, and further exploring all the opportunities Wells FFA has to offer.
Big Congratulations to Emily Monday! Wells FFA was well-represented at the East Texas State Fair! Emily brought home some amazing wins:
4 class wins
1 second place in class
and Breed Champion!
We are incredibly proud of her hard work, dedication, and success. Way to represent Wells FFA, Emily! Keep up the fantastic work!
Exciting news for Emily! She is embarking on a new project this year with 75 chicks that she just picked up for the State Fair of Texas. The show kicks off at the beginning of October, and we’re thrilled to see all her hard work come to life. Here’s to a fantastic start and an amazing journey ahead!
We had some amazing learning oppurtunities in Mrs. Smith's Animal Science class with guest speakers Steven Monday from Monday Show Pigs and Mr. Ryan from the Angelina County Farm Bureau! Mr. Monday brought 10 piglets to show us the ins and outs of ear notching, tail docking, teeth clipping, and giving vital shots for piglets, while Mr. Ryan demonstrated the technique of tattooing rabbits. We’re grateful for their expertise and the hands-on experience they provided. Huge thank you to both of these men for making the lessons unforgettable!

Meet Carmyn Dement! She is a proud 9th grader who’s thrilled to begin her 2nd year in FFA! This year, she’s eager to dive into new experiences, make lasting friendships, and create unforgettable memories. Carmyn’s favorite contest is hands down Livestock Judging! When it comes to cherished FFA moments, nothing compares to her first year experience at the State Convention this past summer in Houston. The excitement and learning from that event have left a lasting impression on her. Here’s to another fantastic year ahead for Carmyn as she continues to grow and shine in FFA!
Community in Action!
Some of our Wells FFA officers put part of the the FFA motto, “Living to Serve”, into action at our local food pantry. They helped package and organize produce, making a meaningful impact in our community. We're so proud of their dedication and leadership! Thank you to these incredible officers for going above and beyond. Together, we're making our community stronger, one act of service at a time.
