About the IB DP

The IB Diploma Programme is a rigorous, two-year programme developed by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). The curriculum framework provides candidates a chance to learn a balance of subjects from across different areas of knowledge, supporting their growth as independent learners.

IB DP candidates take six subject courses, three of which they must select as their Higher Level (HL) classes. In addition, DP candidates must complete the IB DP Core components. All courses and core components have specific assessment requirements to follow in order to achieve the full diploma.
