Fynn is Footlights' very own charity case; stolen from an orphanage earlier this year and has been used for many different tax avoidance scams by different members.
Aside from this Fynn has been involved with theatre for most of his short life, from school shows at his Hamilton high school to Wellington productions like this years My Fair Lady where he played the coveted role of 'man who forgot the choreography'.
Fynn is super excited to be playing Robert in this Sondheim classic; having the chance to play an older character in a more demanding role, and being able to perform once again with such a talented group of people is a prospect Fynn finds extremely exciting.
In his spare time Fynn studies Computer Science at Victoria University, plays board games and eats the food of others. As well as watching classic, acclaimed films like Speed Racer and 'How to cook on a student budget'
If you see Fynn's glasses lying around the theatre please inform and laugh at him, he will never learn otherwise.
Patrick first joined the theatre world in his senior years of college, when he swapped into the drama as a desperate attempt to get out of his boring graphics class. Starting out doing mostly Shakespeare, he first moved into musical theatre when the limited pool of male actors in the year group forced him to take on a lead role in his schools production of ‘Chicago’.
Patrick joined Footlights in 2014 when studying at Victoria University with their first show ‘Taking the Minnie’ and since then the Society has continuously failed to get rid of him. He has thoroughly enjoyed being involved in so many of his favourite shows over the recent years, including Rent, Heathers, Spamalot, 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee, and more. Earlier this year, he performed in ‘My Fair Lady’ as Eliza’s dad Alfred Doolittle. Patrick seems to specialise in angry jerks or drunken dad characters, which he hopes is more of a coincidence than anything else. He has greatly enjoyed working with the fun and crazy Footlights team and has loved seeing the society change and grow over the years.
Margaret joined Footlights in 2014 for Pippin, and has appeared in or been behind the scenes for all but one of the Footlights shows since then, most recently as Mrs Pearce in My Fair Lady. She is beyond excited to perform one of her favourite musicals with some of her favourite people.
She would like to take this opportunity to apologise to Patrick for all the death stares she's given him this year.
When not rehearsing or performing, Margaret can be found staring down a microscope at work, hanging upside down in a dance studio, baking, or trying to make sense of her 2 boys' conversations about Fortnite and Sonic the Hedgehog. As always, love and thanks to her patient and long-suffering husband, Ward.
Will has been an avid thespian and performer since an early age when he appeared in a production of Charlotte’s Webb as Farmer 3. His favourite (only line) in that show was “it’s a pretty big potato!”.
Since then, Will has performed in 30+ shows over the past 15 years and this is his 6th show with Wellington Footlights having previously appeared in Spamalot (Brother Maynard), A New Brain (Dr. Jafar Berensteiner), The Rising Sun (bar patron and interpretative dancer), Chess (Anatoly) and My Fair Lady (Harry and Professor Zoltan Karpathy).
When not performing, Will works at the Ministry for the Environment, plays social football, and watches Netflix with his amazing partner, He is stoked to be a part of Company and hopes you all enjoy the show.
Wellington born and bred, Catherine has been a member of Footlights since its inception in 2014 and has performed in 10 shows, most recently as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
By day she works as a lawyer and greatly enjoys forcing her passion for musicals onto her colleagues.
She is excited to be performing in her first Sondheim show with all these crazy people her friends!
Ed sees Footlights as a form of escapism from the day to day life of teaching. The chance to become someone else, even if it’s just for a short time, is always thrilling and exciting. Ed has become a variety of people during his four and a half years in Footlights including Ram Sweeney in Heathers (who died), Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde (a teacher), Josh Barton in If/Then (who died) and Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady (a teacher).
Ed is looking forward to playing someone who is neither a teacher nor a dead character in Company and is still currently working on his shrine dedicated to Brendon Urie.
Stacey has been a member of The Wellington Footlights since 2014's production of Pippin, where she was lucky enough to participate in 2 different metaphorical sex dances.
Since then she has performed as Maureen in Rent, Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde, Patsy in Spamalot, Heather Duke in Heathers, as well as many ensemble roles with her Footlights family.
Stacey is so incredibly excited (and terrified) to be taking on her favourite role in one of her favourite musicals, and is praying her tongue keeps up with her brain.
In real life, Stacey spends her days working at Wayne Gillingham's Oral Surgery, and her nights playing PlayStation and binging horror movies on Netflix like a normal, well adjusted human.
The first time Mike Bryant ever performed was in an Addam's Family rip-off in 1995. He played thief number 5 and had one line.
Mike wishes he could play another role with such complexity and nuance, but so far has been disappointed.
Mike refuses to believe he peaked when he was four years old, despite all evidence to the contrary.
This is Mike's 13th show with Footlights and he is as happy as Larry (geddit?) To be involved in such a lovely group.
Mike loves this show and loves this character and is overjoyed to finally be performing some Sondheim
This is Helena’s third show with Footlights and she still feels gross talking about herself in the third person. Banker by day, performer and permanently exhausted pigeon by night - She has performed in many shows, all crammed into the last 5 years, which has given her both wonderful experiences, new friends and permanent shin splints. When she’s not embodying alcoholic old women, you can find her befriending neighbourhood cats, sewing her pants to save money and yelling at children to get off her lawn. Oh wait...
India has loved being on stage ever since she was 5, performing in her first ballet recital. She became proficient in many different styles of dance through her primary and high school years, and began her musical theatre career in high school with Wellington College's 2012 Production of Chess. India joins us once again in her fifth footlights show, Company. India is thrilled to take on the role of Susan, a sweet Southern Belle who knows what she wants, and is especially looking forward to seeing audiences enjoy this wonderfully funny show as much as she has enjoyed being a part of it.
Help is always very important when performing a musical, and Footlights have provided that in abundance. Please is a word that never needs to be said, with so many members ready and willing to help.
David’s thrilled to be involved in this production of Company with the Footlights Society. A fine production. Hostage to my own desire to act, I’m driven by a desire to perform. Please people. Tell stories.
His (David’s) gratitude goes out to the Footlights, they are real guiding stars. Parents to those who need them.

Renée has been a lover of the arts since she played a burning bush in her primary school musical in 2001. This is her fourth show with Footlights and probably her favourite yet.
April is adorably stupid and Renée has enjoyed getting into character via method acting in her real life...with some disastrous albeit hilarious results.
Fun fact: Renée once wanted to really be a flight attendant but discovered she doesn’t actually love flying, so that didn’t really go anywhere much like this fact (in hindsight).
As well as the arts, Renée is passionate about only a few other things - earl grey tea, axolotls, and Celebrity Big Brother UK.
Enjoy the show!
Cassandra is a playwright, director and performer who spends most of her time hanging out with Footlights or her other family, Red Scare Theatre Company. When not doing theatre stuff she enjoys murder mysteries, embroidery and Stardew Valley.
Letitia has been on stage for as long as she can remember and became a member of the Wellington Footlights in 2017. Outside of musical theatre Letitia plays flugel horn for the Trust Porirua City Brass Band, enjoys reading crime novels, and loves spending time with her hubby, Nick, and cat, Lily.
