Laura has been a member of Wellington Footlights since it began in 2014. During the last ten years she has held a plethora of roles both on and offstage, and after most recently serving as Chairperson for 3 years, she is excited to return to the stage for 35mm. Laura adores this show, particularly 'vampire time' and the 'choking orgy' - she swears it will make sense when you see it.
When Laura isn't at the theatre, she is playing DnD, reading fantasy books or binge playing whatever is the newest survival horror videogame whilst cuddled up with her cats (there are currently six of them, but four are fosters so it doesn't count).
Kirsty is so excited to be back on stage with Wellington Footlights with this New Zealand Premiere. She feels blessed to be performing with such a talented group of performers and really hopes you enjoy your evening bopping along with the 35mm cast.
Kirsty recently performed in WRTs production of Avenue Q as Lucy the Slut, and is currently also performing in the vocal quartet show, Quadraphonic, also performing at the Gryphon Theatre.
Over her 10 years based in Wellington her performance highlights to date would be playing Casey in the awesome WRTs production of First Date, Elle Woods in WFLs Legally Blonde and last year dancing to Zoot Suit Riot with her Brother Corey in WFLs Speakeasy.
There is nothing like theatre, no matter how busy life gets it always seems to call Kirsty back. It fills up her cup and she hopes, even just for one night, it does the same for you. So please let's just Stop Time and focus, and let us Make you Happy for the night 🙂
Tara moved down to Wellington in 2021 after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Screen & Media. Before that, Tara was a local of the Hamilton theatre scene, performing in such shows as Les Miserables (2017) as Eponine and The Addams Family Musical (2016) as Wednesday Addams.
35mm is Tara’s first production with The Wellington Footlights Society after previously performing with Wellington Repertory Theatre in Avenue Q (2022) and She Kills Monsters (2021) with Stagecraft. She has loved working with such a tight-knit cast and crew and hopes that you can Hold Still and Focus throughout this amazing one-act show.
*Marley has been with the Wellington Footlights Society long enough to give up on bios. He decided to use Chat GPT to write this one using the following prompt: "Write me a humble bio for a local theatre performer that is roughly 150 words." None of it is accurate.

Alex is hyped to be back on stage in his first full-scale production since 2019, where he starred in Bare: A Pop Opera (Stagecraft Theatre) and Four Nights in the Green Barrow Pub (Red Scare Theatre Company). He also featured in Spring Awakening (WITCH Music Theatre) and If/Then (Wellington Footlights Society) in 2018.
Alex is known for riffing at musically inappropriate times, unsolicited dabbing, and rapid rate of meme production. When he's not belting his heart out on stage, Alex can be found on the streets with a film camera, lifting weights at CityFitness, or silently screaming to his teammates while playing League of Legends.
