During the 2020-2021 school year, all students in PreK-5 will be issued a WPS iPad for use at school and home.  Student iPads are managed by the Wellesley Public Schools and have all necessary applications already installed.  If a new application needs to be installed the Technology Department can deploy it remotely.   WPS iPads also have an internet filtering program installed that no matter where WPS managed iPads go, all internet filters are still applied.  Inappropriate content is filtered and blocked like they are at school.  Additionally, the internet turns off at 11pm and back on at 6am.  Your child's teacher will let you know when the iPad should travel between school and home.  We recommend each student also have a pair of headphones for when they are using their iPads in school.
