Frequently Asked Questions:

Instead of my iPad, I'm interested in using a different device (desktop computer, laptop, another tablet) with my school issued Google Account. Is this possible?

Yes. This blog post from 2018 shares more information about using other devices with your school based Google Account.

Or, if you are on the different device at the moment, simply use this link to log in with your school issued Google Account. Login to Google (for Students)

I'm an elementary school parent and I am getting pop-ups for each link that I click that I need to "request access" to the file. What can I do?

All links on the remote learning website are set to "anyone with the link can view" (except for teacher communications slideshows which are shared to individual parents in each class). That said, you must have a Google account to view those links. You can create a free account with google using any email address (you do not need to create a new email address). Instructions for creating Google Account.

I'm a PAWS or Elementary student/family and am trying to view videos that are embedded on my teachers' slides. These videos are not playing, what should I do?

This is likely happening to students viewing slides on a iPad or iPhone. You should tap the button that says "present" in the top right corner of the slides, and place the slideshow in present mode in order to play the videos. You do not need to request access to view or edit these videos.

I'm a PreK-Grade 2 Parent and my Student doesn't know their school Username & Password?

All students have a wpsraiders.org google username and password. Their username is their 2-digit year of graduation last name first initial, for example a Kindergartener named Junie B Jones would be: 32jonesj@wpsraiders.org. Younger students may not know what their password is. Parents may login to the PowerSchool Parent Portal to find this information. After logging in to PowerSchool, your student’s username and password will be displayed near the top of the page below their name.

Forgot your PowerSchool parent username or password?
Go to the Wellesley Public School’s PowerSchool portal address https://wellesley.powerschool.com/ and click on the link labeled ‘Having trouble signing in?’ Then, click “Forgot Username or Password?” On the next screen you can choose “Forgot Password” or “Forgot Username.” Type in your email address and click Enter. If the email matches one WPS has on file, then your username or password reset link will be sent to you by email.

Need help creating a PowerSchool parent account or have further questions?
Please email your school office https://wellesleyps.org/schools/ or portal@wellesleyps.org and someone will get back to you shortly.

WPS distributed iPads: Internet Filters and Access Outside the Schools

No matter where WPS managed iPads go, all internet filters are still applied. Inappropriate content is filtered and blocked like they are in school.

The Internet turns off at 11 pm and back on at 6 am.
