This course is an introductory study of society in which students will examine their own value structure, its origins and its impact on society, and their role within a larger social world. An awareness and understanding of social diversity and a global perspective will allow students to discover and appreciate all aspects of American culture and society. The course format incorporates a variety of materials and methods including projects, tests, presentations, papers, and experiments.
