Sinfonia is a string orchestra for students who play violin, viola, cello or bass. Membership in Sinfonia is open to all string players who have developed proficiency on their instruments that enables them to play the repertoire of the ensemble. Sinfonia performs music for string orchestra and occasionally for full orchestra, and performs in the Masterworks Concert, featuring full symphonic chorus and orchestra. Repertoire is drawn from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary eras. Sinfonia meets 5 days per cycle.  Any wind or percussion players selected to play in the collaborative concerts must also play in Concert Band (908) or Wind Ensemble (908AW).
