Gr 11 - 12 | 3 Credits | Semester-Long | 5x per Cycle

This project-based course covers modern tools and methods for product design and development including the opportunity to understand a system by examining the linkages and interactions between the elements that compose the entirety of the system.  The cornerstone project asks students conceive, design and prototype a physical product that ultimately creates a solution to a difficult problem. Class sessions employ cases and hands-on exercises to reinforce the key ideas. Topics include identifying customer needs, concept generation, product architecture, and design manufacturing.
