704 Introduction to Child Development

Introduction to Child Development is a course that considers fundamental perspectives and critical thoughts on social, emotional, biological and cognitive aspects of human development from birth through year five. Field studies in the child lab classroom are conducted and emphasize the role of observation, interpretation, and analysis of behaviors to prepare students for the Child Study Lab class. Concepts such as learning, social interaction, sensation and perception, thinking, memory, and personality are explored.
