 Gr 9 - 12 | 6 Credits | Year-Long | 5x per Cycle

This course explores France and the francophone world  and how France deals with difference within its borders, a fairly recent and ongoing polemic... Students should be motivated to continue to develop their proficiency. Our goal is to travel together in the hope of understanding and learning to analyze the cultural logic of differences. There will be short writing assignments, but greater weight shall be directed towards participation in class discussions based on rigorous reading assignments.   

Performance Target: Intermediate-High to Advanced-Low on the ACTFL scale. 

Essential Skills

This course is offered at the combined ACP/Honors level. Students will be placed in the Honors section for scheduling purposes only. Students will be able to designate which level they would like to be assessed at in the fall once they learn about course expectations.
