864 Intermediate Photography

This course presents a more complex understanding of the camera, film, and darkroom procedures. It introduces students to some manipulation of the medium, i.e., double exposures by way of the camera or enlarger, toning, photo-litho, solarizations, etc. A section of the course is devoted to portrait work and the art of lighting.
The course also covers the history of photography and introduces students to the work of several major photographers. A limited number of school cameras are available; however, a personally-owned camera is highly desirable. All equipment and materials are supplied.
This class can be taken more than once.
