819 Metals II

Gr 9-12 | 3.0 Credits | Semester-Long | 5x per Cycle | *PREREQUISITE: 817 Metals I

Metals 2 will build on metalsmith skills learned in Metals I and will also introduce new skills, techniques and applications of soldering. Cold connection techniques, texturing, creating forms using a hydraulic press, dapping, etc. will be explored through assigned and student-directed projects. Students will create at least two projects during the semester as well as two samples.  Projects can be wearable jewelry and/or sculptural objects.
