Exercise Across Massachusetts

The Exercise Across Massachusetts program encourages students to exercise and keep track of their “miles" either at school or outside of school. Twenty minutes of exercise counts as one mile. Exercise can be anything that increases the heart rate, including recess and walking to/from school. Students color or write in the exercise on the tally sheets and when 25 miles is completed they return the sheet to me and get a new blank sheet from me at that time. Recognition is given when students reach 25 miles, then at 100 miles and every 100 miles afterwards.
