The Anatis team created a penny boat with three different levels by changing the height of each "section" in the penny boat. The different levels are shown in photos below. The design holds 240+ pennies.
Anatis first created a version very different from the final penny boat. The drawings show multiple iterations of this beginning idea of our penny boat. It gave the imitation of having 3 "floors" but after consideration this version seemed to be not sturdy and not able to float or balance.
Through several edits Anatis ended up at their last design, shown above as V.2.3. Although some edits and measurements changed before printing, this essential design was kept. The way this penny boat has three floors is by changing the height of each "container or section" in the penny boat. It allows for each section to be filled evenly so that the boat doesn't tip over.
The three different colors show the different levels that the pennies will be put in. The majority of the pennies will go in the blue section, with the pink and yellow assisting with balancing the penny boat.
