The theme into the unknown inspired our team to focus more literally. If your stuck in the middle of a forest, for example, you will need tools to survive. Anatis made an invention that prepares anybody for an adventure into the unknown.
The Anatis survival belt can hold an abundance of items. For example, a whistle, matches, multi-tool, and so much more.
The first drawing was of the pockets, but we ended up changing the overall look.
This sketch was of the entire belt and summarized how we were going to initially design it.
Anatis made several iterations of the design for the attached "pockets". As seen below, the first iteration had more of a modern look to it but the orientation was not usable. In the second iteration it was much easier to use, and was more simplistic. (photo of pocket to the right)
The belt buckle as well as pockets are 3d printed.
The actual belt was crocheted. The cover for the pockets is fabric attached by a button. The back of the belt was sewn together.
The belt buckle has the anatis logo featured, but Anatis planned to have multiple logos to appeal to everyone. For example, some belt buckles could have a Superman logo or even a Wonder Women logo.
The button attached to belt not only adds a fashionable touch to the belt but is useful in many ways. Whether to wrap wire, or even a handing item. As featured on the commercial for the AnatiSurvialBelt, a whistle on a string was used to demonstrate how easily it was to wrap around the button
The belt is able to easily fold up into a smaller piece to be able to transport with ease. The belt also comes with a bag.
The entirety of the belt is also a pocket that can be used for a plethora of things. The container for the belt also fits inside so that it could be easily transported.
